The Manual Handling DVD presented by Jet is very different to any other DVDs we’ve seen so far – it’s modern – involves young people which keeps interest of the group (some of the DVDs we’ve seen in the past were made in the 80’s and were, to be honest, quite dull and boring!), the subject is presented in a relaxed manner but does pass the important message across. Well done for splitting the subject into chapters! We’ve also found that the anatomy bit showing the vertabraes and the detoriation of discs between them was very useful and received with “oohh I see now”. The only disadvantages would be – lack of information on repetitive tasks (as you can understand due to our nature of business – agriculture, some of the tasks involve repetitive movements i.e. cutting lettuce on fields, packing on the pack line etc) or picking stuff from “above shoulder height”. For future editions we would recommend putting Lithuanian and Punjabi subtitles as well (this would have been very useful for us as we do employ a number of staff with Lithuanian and Punjabi language as mother tongue).
